How to find a Good Dentist

Posted by Dr. Chetan 7 November, 2007 (0) Comment

Dentistry is one of the most important aspects in a person’s life, as Mouth is a part whose care is to be taken of very well. And people are most of afraid of a Dentist than any other Health practitioner, as the pain in Dental treatments is sometimes unbearable. And everything depends on how good the Dentist is, and how good he deals with a patient who visits them.

When it comes to a dental surgery, things are hard both for the Dentist and the patient for which both of them should have a proper understanding, and a dentist should have a proper check on patient’s mental condition, and his medical and dental history. Similarly the patient should gain confidence and set his/her mind that the Dentist is going to be the best for them. If there is no understanding between the two, then that would be the biggest drawback and leads to failure of the treatment.

Taking care of our teeth is hygienic. Mouth is home to thousands of bacteria and if its not cleaned properly, you are prone to oral bacteria related diseases. Many people think brushing is enough, unfortunately experts believe you should visit a dentist at least twice a year to get the teeth professionally cleaned and check for repair works. Despite knowing the importance of going to a dentist, many people avoid going to a dentist, because they have a fear of dentists.

I have been asked by a few people to post something that relates to maintenance of oral hygiene, and tips to maintain clean and healthy teeth. And today finally i could compile 9 best ways by which teeth can be maintained well and can be kept healthy. Here are all those listed in a random order.

1. Brush Regularly - The first and foremost thing a person should do is to Brush their teeth regularly. A normal count of 3 times per day would be good. i.e. Morning, After Meals and after dinner or before going to bed. Also, there are quite a few fluoride products that are available in market which you can use in the Night which helps in preventing cavities in the teeth.
If you want to know what this means, check Toothbrush and Toothpaste. Make sure your toothbrush has soft bristles, which does not damage your enamel layer, or remove it away. Check how to brush your Teeth.
