Its 2 days since i am suffering from severe cold and throat infection.
This is driving me mad and am feeling totally weak, and after having some cough syrup.. i am feeling completely drowsy and like always falling down.
GOD!!! Give me some relief of this.a

Ahhh this throat pain!
A lot busy these days
Hey to all readers ![]()
I have been in the college since the past 2 weeks, and so could not find time to blog about anything and also in replying to the emails.
Will be doing that soon, and anyways i have done the announcement of results of the wonder directories in http://www.nobledirectory.com/directory-owners
Will be contacting the winner soon, but not till a month time i suppose, as i would be having my mains exams in the mid-august.
Some might be knowing that i have to present a seminar today in dental materials, and the topic is “Eutectic Alloys”.
Here is something in brief related to my topic:
Eutectic alloys are a type of alloy in which the component metals exhibit limited solid solubility. Two metals A & B, which are completely insoluble in each other, are considered as a eutectic alloy. Some grains are solely composed of metal A and some are solely of metal B.
Similarly in a brine solution, salt and water molecules intermingle with each other in liquid phase but are a mixture of salt crystals and ice crystals in a frozen state, and are independent of each other.
One of these types of eutectic alloys is the Silver-Copper system.
This system has 3 phases:
1. Liquid phase.
2. Alpha phase - Silver rich phase with small amounts of copper atoms.
3. Beta phase - Copper rich phase with small amounts of silver atoms.
In a phase diagram, these 2 phases are seen in the left and right side of the diagram, and so are called as “Terminal solid solutions”.
Composition:
A composition of 72% silver and 28% copper is called as eutectic composition or the Eutectic.
Characteristics:
1. Temperature at which the eutectic composition melts(779 C) is lower than the fusion temperature of silver or copper and this is the lowest temperature at which Ag-Cu alloy is completely liquid. Eutectic is also called ‘Lowest Melting’.
2. The liquid composition freezes at a constant temperature like the pure metals but solid has 2 phases alpha and beta.
3. Eutectic alloys are often used when a lower fusion temperature is required, such as in dental solders.
Solidification:
When binary eutectic solidifies, atoms segregate to form regions of nearly pure patent metals. A layered or lamellar structure is formed. For some alloys, rod shaped eutectic morphologies are seen and this is called “Eutectic Constituent”.
Eutectic Reaction:
Liquid -> Alpha solid solution and beta solid solution.
Reaction is also called Invariant Transformation, as it occurs in single temperature and composition.
Physical Properties:
- Mechanical properties of the solid solution alloys vary much higher with composition, than that of Pd-Ag system.
- Alloys in these systems with system with composition less than that of eutectic are called hypoeutectic alloys.
- Alloys in the systems with system with composition greater than eutectic are called hypereutectic alloys.
Primary crystals of hypoeutectic alloys in Ag-Cu systems consists of alpha solid solutions and primary crystals of hypereutectic alloys consists of beta solid solution.
- Hypoeutectic or hypereutectic alloys containing eutectic constituent in their microstructures are relatively brittle and those lacking eutectic constituent are ductile. This is due to permanent deformation of the alloys due to the alternating lamellae of both the phases.
Dental Implants
Hello this is Varun, i’m posting here after a long time hope you remember me ………..
So now coming to Dental implants . These are the recent advancements in dentistry as recently as some 50 years ago , but around (936 - 1013) Albucasis placed ox bone in place of a missing tooth this was the first recorded placement of implants being placed.
Implant : it is an external devise which is inserted into the body for working as a part of the body . Which are used to replace missint teeth in the oral cavity
Dental Implants are the prosthesis used in dentistry where we replace the root of the tooth or the mandibular bone to make a support for Denture (or) artificial teeth .
The most used metal for Implants is TITANIUM as it is accepeted by the bone and it forms osseointegration(bone accepts the external metal) . VITALLIUM is also used s a metal for the implant.
Dental Implants are classified into 4 types:
1) Endosteal Implant : Implants placed into the bone of the mandible beneath the teeth . These type of Implants are not being used in dentistry in recent times as the failure rate is high and it also causes bone loss to occur . A horse shoe shaped endosteal implant known as RAMUS Frame implant. Root form Implant is the most popular type of endosteal implant .
2) Subperiosteal Implant : It is a recent development in dentistry it was developed by Dhal in(1940) and refined in (1951) by Berman . A custom made frame is placed in the patients mouth directly beneath the periosteum , these are used to restore the missing teeth in a partially dentate jaw or the whole of the edentulous jaw . it is used in places where there is little bine available for implantation . It causes excessive bone loss , and the implant rejection by the bone and excessive bone loss.
3) Transosteal Implant : It is a mix of endosteal and subperiosteal implants . It is mainly used in the anterior region of the mandible to support the dentures which tissue like and memic the tissues of the gum(Ginigiva) . mandibular staple implant and trans mandibular implant (TMI) are the types of Transosteal implants .
4) Epithelial Implants : itin serted in the oral mucosa without using the bone as the support . It has many disadvantages like Painful healing …etc so it is no longer used.
Dentistry Branches
Here is what i will be doing after my graduation, going to select one of the branches and planning to do my post-graduation from one of the following branches in Dentistry. Here are few -
Pedodontics - A branch of dentistry that deals with the treatment of children’s teeth.
Periodontics - A branch of dentistry that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the tissues and structures that are present around the teeth. And also maintainance hygiene and aesthetics of the tissues.
Prosthodontics - A branch of dentistry that deals with the restoration and maintainance of oral structures with structures and materials such as dentures and bridges.
Orthodontics - A branch of dentistry dealing with the maintainance of the posture and straightening of the teeth, management of irregularities and abnormalities of teeth, jaw and oral structures.
Endodontics - A branch of dentistry that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the diseases affecting dental pulp, root and periapical tissues.
Pediatric Dentistry - A branch of dentistry that deals with the treatment of diseases in children and adolescents.
Oral Surgery - A branch of dentistry that deals with the surgical procedures and treatment related to teeth, jaws, face and other oral tissues.
Oral Pathology - A branch of dentistry that deals with investigation of causes, processes and effects of the diseases that affect the oral and maxillofacial tissues.
Watched the movie?
I actually liked the movie but dont think many would be its fans. But one thing is for sure, he really worked hard to do as an actor being actually a singer.
My friends varun and rohan, about whom i mentioned earlier few times, say that they didnt at all like the movie. Dont know why, probably might be commenting about what was the need of Mallika Sherawat in the scene, whereas they feel Bipasha might have done better job there.
And other things like how Himesh can run away from the high security jails of foreign places, and the dumb auto scenes etc.
Thereby i liked the movie in means of a few scenes and role of Hansika, and she looked so good in this movie.
Couple of songs were nice, others can be rated as average. And re-mix of Mehbooba mehbooba was not upto the expectations.
The audience went mad and started dancing in the theatre when any song was running. And this movie will be hit in my opinion as people are big fans of Himesh and his songs which he sung for Emraan Hashmi movies.
Anyways its worth a try to watch once.
