Earlier I had written about the Inferior alveolar nerve block, which is the method of anesthesia for performing any dental procedures in the mandibular teeth.
The inferior alveolar nerve block is the most common anesthetic procedure for any local injection, as it is helpful in providing anesthesia to many mandibular teeth and if accompanied with the buccal nerve block in the same injection, the buccal gingiva and vestibule areas are also anesthetized.
Here is a video demonstration of what the block is all required for, where is the site of injection and which tissues are penetrated when an inferior alveolar nerve block (inferior dental nerve block) is given.
