Affiliate programs of web directories

Directory owners always had various kinds of earning tactics through directories, like selling regular, featured and sitewide links. Even tried advertising by email newsletters too. And i had always seen people asking the same question “Is directory helpful in making money?”. But many would not have tried the affiliate programs of other paid directories.
Just placing a banner in your site can get you some easy money if you have good original traffic, it can result in you earning from the affiliate programs.
