h1n1 virusSwine Flu is increasingly spreading around in India, and more cases are being admitted to hospitals in all parts of the country. And the hospitals for swine flu treatment are trying the best to provide the treatment to every affected case.

Here is the treatment for Swine Flu and instructions for people unaware about it -
Symptomatic treatment -
This treatment is to reduce the symptoms like high temperature, body pains etc. by the use of Paracetamol. This is still not to be administered in excess. As Paracetamol is a multi-acting drug and can produce side-effects. And its usage in kids has to be strictly done under physician’s instructions.

Wear face masks to prevent Swine Flu

This post is just an explanation to a doubt raised over the usage of Face mask, over normal tissue papers or hankies, for the prevention of Swine Flu. Here are my thoughts -

  1. swine flu prevent face maskFace masks are made from micro-pores which can take in-and-out the air for respiration, but most of micro-organisms are stopped from penetrating in. These are what doctors use during surgeries, so you can assume the safety with it. On the other hand, the normal hand-kerchief or tissue papers are safe to some extent, but still are not strong enough to stop every micro-organism to enter the body.

WHO precautions – Swine Flu Protection

h1n1World Health Organization had declared Swine Flu as a pandemic disease in June. Pandemic is an epidemic that is geographically widespread; occurring throughout a region or even throughout the world.
And being air-borne, the risk of spread of Swine Flu has increased very much.

Here are a few tips and precautions given by WHO to keep yourself and others safe from Swine Flu H1N1 virus -

  1. Cover your nose and mouth with disposable tissue when coughing or sneezing.
  2. Dispose off used tissues properly immediately after use.
  3. Regularly wash hands with soap and water.
  4. If you have flu-like symptoms, seek medical advice immediately.
  5. If you have flu-like symptoms, keep a distance of at least 1 meter from other people.

Fats are always a needed factor in out body. Total fat content in human body is about 27%. They help in increasing nutrient absorption, transmission of nerve impulse, maintaining cell membrane integrity, gain in weight, and also sometimes responsible for certain heart diseases.

In men, fat is stored in the middle of the body, in the stomach region, whereas women store fat around their pelvis, thighs and butt regions.
