I’m not using amalgam anymore. Patients like “white” restorations. I used 3M Z350 composite resin for the usual resto, and Grandio flowable for small cavities.

I am not convinced with your argument regarding composites being more superior. High caries index cases are suited for amalgam restorations as the tooth-silver amalgam interface is leakproof because of the chemical reactions that ensue. Though amalgams are considered less superior, its not really the case. I use precapsulated amalgams made by Ivoclar and my patients get a 10 year guarantee on every filling:)
